- Alice Spicer, Director of Alzheimer Chronicles, Inc. will graduate with Honors in the Major, B.A. in Creative Writing, minor in Digital Media from the University of Central Florida on May 3, 2013. She holds a general A.A. degree from Seminole State College and has completed facilitator training with TimeSlips LLC improvisational storytelling method, licensed to the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Center on Age and Community. Her Burnett Honors College thesis defense, “Creativity: Transcending Memory Loss” will take place before March 29, 2013 and will be published shortly thereafter.
- Terry Thaxton, Founder and Director of the Literary Arts Partnership, is Associate Professor of English at the University of Central Florida and holds an M.F.A. degree in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her first book of poetry, Getaway Girl, won the 18th Annual Frederick Morgan Poetry Prize in 2005 and was published in 2011 by Salt Publishing. The Literary Arts Partnership was founded in 2003, and since then they have provided more than 150 creative writing workshops, serving more than 2,000 voices throughout Central Florida.
- Marie Dean holds a B.S. in Education from the University of Central Florida. Her interest in this project stems from her experience as the primary caregiver of her father, who had dementia in his final years.
